The team has explored how Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles can be embedded into risk models, investment strategies, and long-term policy planning. By linking actuarial thinking with climate and sustainability frameworks, the working party is driving new conversations around inclusive insurance, climate risk, and the actuary's role in advancing sustainable finance across Africa.

Life Insurance Working Party
The Life Working Party has continued to play a crucial role in developing credible, Kenya-specific actuarial data for life insurers. Over the past year, the team has completed both a persistency study and a mortality table review, two landmark projects that will form the foundation for more accurate pricing, reserving, and solvency assessments. Beyond research, the working party continues to engage with insurers and regulators to interpret results, promote best practice, and strengthen the overall life insurance risk framework in the Kenyan market.

Through these engagements, the working party is positioning TASK as a trusted technical advisor on policies that influence financial inclusion, health coverage, and long-term economic resilience.
